Through today, over 63,000 electoral witnesses have been certified by political parties and organizations, said Vice-President of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Sandra Oblitas, on Tuesday.
Oblitas stated that the period for the accreditation of election witnesses was extended until this Saturday for political parties that have yet to register more witnesses for the legislative elections to be held on Sunday, September 26.
"The ideal situation for political organizations is that the witnesses be properly accredited, because on Friday we begin the installation of polling stations. It is important that on Sunday all the witnesses be accredited," she said.
